Moniga del Garda is a small municipality in the province of Brescia, situated on the western shore of Lake Garda. In the surrounding countryside there is the production centre of a particular local wine: the Rosè Chiaretto; excellent extra virgin olive oil is also produced. A scenic road, about 10 km long, runs along the lake to Salò. The hilly landscape around Moniga offers various possibilities for cyclists and mountain bikers thanks to undemanding paths through olive groves, vineyards and fields that provide breathtaking views of the lake. On foot, skirting the lake, you can reach the towns of Padenghe and Manerba.
Highway A4 Turin/Venice exit Desenzano and then follow the road signs in the direction of Salò.
By train: The nearest railway station is Desenzano, which is a few kilometres from Moniga.
